When Quikcard began developing a new mobile app, they were concerned their logo may look out of place in modern web design, and asked that we evaluate their branding.
During our evaluation process we determined rather than a complete rebrand, Quickard would benefit from a brand refresh, refining elements of their existing branding and creating guidelines to maintain consistency with future applications.
For the logo we proposed two changes; Removing the tagline from within the red rectangle, and removing the connection of the Q’s tail. Both of these changes helped give the logo a cleaner and more modern look, while giving the name “Quikard” a greater visual sense of value.
Once we had approval on the updated logo, we put together a brand guideline package that defined primary and secondary colours, fonts, layout elements and a system for applying taglines or product names to the logo. These guidelines were used to develop various print and digital pieces.
